What's Required
Three pieces make the uniform.
Every trailman wears the official Trail Life shirt for his program level, olive shorts or pants, and program shoulder loops. Belt, socks, and hat are optional additions.

About the olive pants
Any plain olive shorts or pants work — many families use less expensive alternatives from Amazon (Wrangler or 5.11 Defender-Flex styles) or LA Police Gear rather than the official ones. Ask a leader for the current recommendations before you buy.
